Hello, I am looking for a new ALL HARDWARE 56k Modem....not a winmodem. I am looking for one that is not to expensive....I do gaming mainly, and little browsing. Fax/Voice is not important

I have someone willing to sell me a Diamond Supra Max USB Modem....the max price is $60, he says it is new, anyone know if this modem is worthy for gaming?

The best deal around is the Diamond Supra Express ISA, or external. Superb gaming modems.
The USB (that I have for sale) would not be a good choice for gaming.

A WORD OF ADVICE, IF YOU WANT A GOOD HARDWARE MODEM GO WITH AN USR MODEM. I HAVE USED ALL KINDS OF MODEMS AND NOTHING PERFORMS BETTER FOR DIAL UP

USR = U.S. Robotics...if you go with the US Robotics get the "PRO" Modem...it seems to find a faster throughput.

I don't have an ISA slot in my pc...whats the best pci hardware modem for gaming? Whats a USR modem?
