Can anyone recommend a good, easy to use and small remote control application (freeware or shareware) that works well over the net and from behind a firewall (ZoneAlarm). I often get calls from people having trouble using their computers and would like to be able to take control of their screens to help illustrate certain procedures.

There's an excellent program called Radmin from http://www.famatech.com. It's shareware but it's only $35. It's very fast, secure, and easy to use.

There's also VNC. It's freeware, but it's much slower than Radmin and not as secure. It's at http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/index.html

Net meeting will work also. Set it up for remote desk top shareing. Set it for secure connection both ways. I have run it from behind zone alarm before.
