Anyway , let me explain my situation.
I bought a Cel 366, new Asus p2-99 mb (basically the same as the p2b series),64 meg pc100, ATX case.
Anyhoo, I take it home, plug in my 2 meg ATI (Mach 64) and the thing boots up for only like 1/2 second, shuts off.
I bring it back to the shop, they plug in a 4 meg something or other, boots up fine.
This lead both me and the tech to believe somehow the ATI card is incompatible with the motherboard.
(I was also told most new motherboards/ATX case power supplies will automatically shut off if they do not detect a vid card - unlike my old Pentium mb http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif That's one piece of info I didn't know...
This sound right? Guess I'm gonna have to buy a new vid card sooner (was planning on anyway so it's not a big problem http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif)
