Friday the 19th is my test date for Network+ certification. I will post back how it goes - er..well, that is if I pass with 85% or higher......

otherwise I will let this thread vanish into cyblivion.......

GOOD LUCK! Can you tell me what made you decide to go for the network+ from comptia vs.networking essentials from microsoft? I have just finished my CNA and Winnt workstation for microsoft and am wondering which would be best. I was going for my mcse but am now going to wait for the win2000 version of it so that I don't lose any certs.I currently have my A+,CNA,MCP(for winnt workstation).

I wasn't going to answer until I pass the thing, but I am delighted to see all the encouragement.

ENVY - I felt that Network+ is even more basic than the MS Networking basics - I will persue more education in the near future, but for now I felt that CompTIA's Network+ would be a good basic training and therefore a good place to start.

Don't they grade it on the spot? A buddy of mine took some test and he knew before he left whether or not he passed. (he did)(barely)

I will test May 19, Friday - yes, the minute you finish you know right at your workstation if you passed or not - then you pickup your score at the front desk on the way out.

Isn't Network+ pretty much the same curriculum as NetTech for CNE and NetEssentials for MCSE?

Well, seeing as how you're an ultimate member, with all of the information you've no doubt picked up here, I'll be SHOCKED if you don't pass. Keep in mind that the test is a piece of cake, and that after you leave the testing center you'll be certified!!

I took both A+ exams, Net Essentials, WinNT Workstation, and WinNT Server all in a two week period. I scored high 80's on the A+ exams, 966 on NT Workstation and NetEss, and 1000 on NT Server. They're supposed to make you nervous. Get past the first one and the rest are all a piece of cake.
