Why do cable connections vary so much? Some times I'm flying, and can download webpages in a couple seconds, other times it's slower than my old dialup connection...
I was able to use http://www.dialpad.com the first day I got hooked up, but ever since it's been too slow, and the connection is crapy.
I've done a few online speed tests, and they're showing around a DSL speed.

Anyone else w/ Time Warner RoadRunner experiencing this problem? It's kinda anoying, paying $40 for a connection that can sometimes be slower than my old 56K.. UGH!

Thx,
Shadal

it is often because the cable modems are generally a shared bandwith model.
