Hiya,
I've got a Ericsson Piperider cable modem supplied to me from Time Warner Cable RoadRunner service. According to Ericsson's website (Ericson FAQ) (http://www.ericsson.com/consumers/spg.jsp?page=H2.1.1.1&ProdID=9618&CLP=H2.1.1&CLM=MPS#1140) (Question 6), you can access the internal webpage (modem settings) by pointing your browser to: http://my.piperider however this doesn't work. Any idea's why i can't get to this page to set my firewall settings?

If you can access it with the IP address ( http://192.168.100.1 ) but not the host name then the DNS settings may be incorrect on the client computer(s). otherwise thier suggestion about removing any proxy settings within your browser may apply.

It also sounsd like that cable modem will also do NAT which means the client computers should obtain the IP address information automatically (set to obtain by DHCP).

I've got this computer acting as the windows ICS server, with one NIC hooked to the modem, and a second NIC hooked to a HUB, with one other computer attached to that, The NIC that's attached to the modem is set to obtain an IP automatically, which is fine, the second NIC is set to a static (192.168.0.1) which is also used as a DHCP server to the other comptuer which get's assigned (192.168.0.2). I can't access 192.168.100.1, and i have no proxy settings enabled.

Thx

Okay, that sounds more common (using ICS's NAT and not the cable modem).

The NIC on the Internet side is getting an IP address in a different range than the cable modem's IP range.
The easy way to fix this is to assign the that NIC an address of 192.168.100.2 (instead of by DHCP). Reboot then configure the cable modem. After you are done configuring change that NIC back to obtain IP by DHCP.
