Works great and has a firewall in it as well. Sixpac>>> zskillz 06-20-2001, 04:39 PM i like the netgeat rt314 (might me the 311, but I can't remember for sure) mine works great, and looks nice too! -Z ragtop 06-20-2001, 06:00 PM Definitely go for a router. The Linksys and Netgear units both seem to do the job well. (I have a Linksys myself, it works great). These units are around $100 right now, maybe a little less if you find a good sale or rebate. You might be able to do it a little cheaper wit a hub and some internet sharing software, but the router is much, much easier. (Read the directions, plug everything in, and your set up within about 10 minutes) GroundZero3 06-20-2001, 06:31 PM go for a router it has built in firewall. i have a link 4 port and love it to death. easy to use and configure Jason habba 06-21-2001, 02:32 PM Thank you for the replies. Being a cheapo I'll wait to try and buy a router for around 70 I hope. habba challenger 06-21-2001, 02:38 PM I love the netgear RT314 and would recommend it to anyone. However..... I was just told yesterday that the RT314 works with PPPOE which is what I have. But otherwise it is very hard to set up. So unless you have PPPOE I would go with a linksys although I highly recommend netgear products. Too bad you may have missed it but it may still be available. This is definetly the router of choice among those in the know http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif as it does everything all the others do plus it's a 4 port 10/100 switch, has a built-in printer server, and a back-up 56k modem connection all in one tidy package at half the price of everyone elses.
