How do I get on the net with a mobile phone?

yes - there are wireless modems ready out of the box - don't go through a wireless telephone - just get a wireless modem.

One note of caution - this year is the solar high for solar flares. Reception isn't all that hot at the moment. If you are frustrated by an ISP logging you out - then don't get this - you'll just get angry and end up throwing it out a window in frustration...... But - if you want to go work out in a field and connect speeds aren't that important - then try one.

Another note - this doesn't work in elevators and a good ceiling fan motor will sometimes block your signal.....

Dear sir/madam

I am hoping you can tell me if it is possible to get on the net using a mobile phone and I don't mean on the net via WAP. If it is possible, please can you tell me:-

1. What hardware do I require? Can I get a special type of modem to connect?

2. If there are modems available to connect to mobile phones, are they universal or only compatible with certain phones?

3. If I am able to connect, what is the highest connection speed I would be able to connect at?

Help much appreciated.
