I have a network of about ten machines
two are win2000ws and 7 are 98se and ones win2000server.
Every other day the 98se machines seem to go forward about half an hour on their clocks.
Is the server doing this and how can I stop it??

Cheers
Tim

My nephew offers this possible solution for you:
The only way the server could be doing this is if they are using logon
scripts (eg.. net time \\servername /set /y). And it would only set the time
back if the servers time is off as well. This might explain why the 98
machines are doing it and the 2000 aren't since a "standard" user on a 2000
machine wouldn't have permissions to change the system time with their
logon. 98 machines don't limit users being able to change time on their
systems the same way.

Sounds like the server may be having a problem holding on to the proper time which may be a battery issue. Hope some of this helps.
