Is it possible to connect a scanner to network? It's an HP Photo scanner. Presently have 2 PC's running Me and a 4 port hub with an HP1000 printer hooking into it.

I'm not familiar with any way other than the something like HP's Digital Sender which is a scanner made for a networked enviroment.

My experience has shown mw that it's very rare that a company has a networkable scanner. UMAX said it was possible but only on a true server/client situation and it had to be at least 5 clients to work. In otherwords, no peer-to-peer support.

I actually have the HP Digital Sender 8100c 10/100base-tx and it works very well. Scans in a TIFF or PDF format, black/white or color.
It will scan and then send to an email address via SMTP. I think it can also fax but I haven't used it for that purpose.

DVNT1,
Just a quick search on Pricewatch revealed that this scanner runs in the $1000 range which I think you'll find is not a viable solution for most people.
alaska49,
IMHO, the best thing to do is contact your scanner tech or sales people if you already have a scanner, and ask them if your particular scanner is networkable. Otherwise, do a search for networkable scanners and see if you can find a solution to fit your budget.
