I had trouble wih my network, (error 10050), a search of the net came up with ref's to zone alarm...... hadn't even crossed my mind. looked, sure enough tcp/ip disabled !!!!, whoopee I thought, enable it and orf we go ... not http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif. Machine locked up, reboot safe mode, wont go to normal at all, remove ZA, still no joy, reinstall ZA, no go, remove network card (it is new and has worked), boots up!! Cant get it to boot with the card in at all (lots of removes and 'found new H/W).

Can anyone help this is getting ******* silly.

I know you've tried removing stuff... but make sure you remove EVERYTHING network wise... all the drivers, clients, adapters, services under the network settings... every last thing... Might wanna even uninstall ZA if its currently installed.

Then reboot and try again.
