Hi,
If you have a 24/7 net connection, on cable or xDSL, and are willing to spare as little as 10% at max of that bandwidth, you could help SysOpt/Tweakit in the RC5 Cracking contest.
Well, how could you help?
First of all, a few team members are interested in having a personal team proxy, with statistics updated once every hour or two. For thsi we need someone with a 24/7 (24hrs, 7 days week) connection.
The proxy just runs as a DOS box, and can be minimised and you wouldn't know its running, while the stats updater runs at pre-set intervals, and is a DOS box which can be minimised and you can continue to work at your computer as normal.
I have it running on 1 of my computers, and 1 sysopt member flushes into it, but it is on a dialup connection.
By having a personal proxy, it would make the contest more exciting that with 24hr updates, there is much more information. If I'm online you can take a look at bkehoe.dynip.com/stats (http://bkehoe.dynip.com/stats) As well as being recognised by other team members, you can set up your own web server on your computer for free, with huge storage space.
