Here's the setup. 2 computers. 1 running Win2k OS with SP2 and 1 running win 98SE. Third computer is at computer shop for netwotk card help. Bought a Linksys Cable/Modem Router with 4 port 10/100 switch. Both computers have pci 10/100 NICs with both being connected to the switch with Cat5 Enhanced cable.
How do I get these computers to share files, printers and possibly the modem(56k).

The Win 98SE computer has a ton of Novell protocols added as my daughter attends Villanova University and they use Novell.

My W2k has the following components installed, Clients for Microsoft Networks,File and printer sharing for Microsoft Networks and Internet Protocol(TCP/IP). My daughters machine has all the Novell protocols and I added the Microsoft ones.

I can't get these computers to even see each other little lone share files.

Could someone give me a step by step checklist of how the computers can be networked?

You might need to enable NetBEUI on both machines to see each other also.
