I have a old Pentium I computer, it has
a 3Com 3C905C-TXM nic installed, with the
boot prom enabled.

I also have a Linux 7.0 server,I want to boot
linux over the network with the old pc.

I know it has got something to do with boottp, nfs and tftp. But how do I go about
it as I am a newbie to linux.

I finally got linux to boot over the network,
without a harddrive installed on the computer and with minimal hardware.

You can even get your old 386 or 286 to boot
over the network.

Sorry about not posting the URL, anyway here
it is. http://www.europe.redhat.com/documentation/
