Won't log on when wakes

My computer(Dell 4100 - WinME) stays logged on to my network fine when it is awake, the light even stays on (on the hub) when it goes to sleep, but as soon as I wake it up it disconnects and I cannot log it back on without rebooting. It says that the network is unavailable and does not even show itself there !? Any ideas? Have tried the Wake on LAN check box in setup, no luck. The only other machine on the p2p network is a eOne - Win98 works fine. Thanks for any help !

I can't offer any help because I always disable the power saving features except for the monitor. I do know the Wake on LAN isn't for that purpose. It's just a way to allow the computer to be remotely turned on.
