The lyrics to Yellow Fever by the Bloodhound Gang:

Are those numchucks in your pants or are you just happy to see me?

Let me take you back to the day that I met my China girl
When I landed a 'Pam' like on the San Fran Real World
I was sweating like a vegetable inside of a wok
I'd never been to Asia Minor but I was gonna Bangkok
Like Kristy Yamaguchi I had to break the ice
Should I talk about Mothra M*A*S*H or shrimp-fried rice?
I was sharp as a Chinese star but it's a line that I threw
Just thirty seconds over Tokyo and this Johnny would Woo
I took a shot like Jeanette Lee put on my moves like Bruce Lee
I told her every Soon Yi needs a little *****
She said for all the tea in China my vagina's not free
But my love will linger longer than the Ming Dynasty
I said I needed her to do and her to do my laundry
I knew she needed a way to legally stay within the country
She was made in Taiwan I said I'm O.K. with that
Just promise me you'll never try to eat my cat

Chinky chinky bang bang I love you
Chinky chinky bang bang I know you love me too
In Japan the hand is used as a knife
In Japan a man's wife's hand job than can cost him his life
But now this Captain Kirk has his own Sulu
I'll shampoo her Foo Man Chu with Lo Hung Wang Goo
Cause I ride my slant-eyed slope like a brand new Kawasaki
Oh my chinky she's so kinky got me hot like Nagasaki
Burnin' up like Napalm burstin' like an A-bomb
I think I got that jungle fever but I caught it in 'Nam
She's like an oriental rug cause I lay her where I please
Then I blindfold her with dental floss and get down on my knees
I'm a diving Kamikaze eating out Chinese
First I'll have the poo-poo platter then some tuna sushi
She'll be screaming like Godzilla and kickin' like Jackie Chan
I'll get her redder than China wetter than the Sea of Japan
Like the Chinese New Year she's gonna see fireworks
Now be a good chinky and go press Jimmy's shirts

Chinky chinky bang bang I love you
Chinky chinky bang bang I know you love me too

Sing chinky sing
One more time

Chinky chinky bang bang I love you
Chinky chinky bang bang I know you love me too

Chinky chinky bang bang chinky bang
Chinky chinky bang biddily biddily biddily bang

Why do people make songs like this that are blatently racist? Anyway, I wanted to know what you all think, and I also wanted to know where I can send mail to do something about this.

szech, its a song. I do not mind when people say polack jokes or make fun of polish, even though i a a 100% throughbred.

Learn to laugh at such things, because if you were to listen to anymore of the bloodhound gang songs, you would know they are all in jest, ie "she aint got no legs" which is about loving a amputee.

I think we all need to smile, especially since it IS a "love" song

Well it does contain some blatantly offensive material in it, but that's not illegal. I don't even think KKK rallies are illegal. We all have our right to free speech.

This is the kind of thing you have to ignore (I doubt you could laugh at it), but the government will not stamp out all forms of offensive material for us.

Time to take some serious heat-

Rap......boy I love to hate it. Nothing but filth and trash coming from people who like to try to make themselves hard and have a lower IQ then my golden retriever. Dont you just love it how its ok for rappers to sing about killing everyone or to screw every girl, but when the dixie chicks create a song about killing an abuse husband who beats up his wife they are promoting violence and putting bad ideas in kids minds? Makes ya think doesnt it.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe one's rights extend to the point at which another's rights are violated. The stereotypes are tolerable, and hell, some of them are true to some extent. But "chinky" crosses the line. That is a strong word that they throw around so casually. It is a word I have had thrown hatefully at me, and when I see it used like this, it prompts me to action. You can draw parallels to other races and their feelings about the words that are thrown at them.

I found the address of their label ( Uni / Geffen ) and I'm trying to get a petition to mail them.

I agree it's offensive. It's offensive to me and I'm not Asian. But I find any word that degrades any person offensive, whether it's directed at a race, a gender or what have you. And I'm no fan of rap or dance music either but like I tell my kids, let's see who remembers these guys in 5 years from now.

Beethoven, Mozart, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Simon & Garfunkel, The Guess Who, etc....etc.. Their music will never be forgotten because of it's timeless quality. Time will take care of the **** in music....can U say Disco? We'll have to be patient, wait, and try to ignore it. How many classics can you think of from the disco age?

I have not heard any of their other songs besides the mammal one, which I think is hilarious but does not make any racial comments. I do feal that racism should have no place in music, and agree that most of RAP is worthless even damaging. I do not think that free speech should be limited to non-offensive material either, because what is offensive to one group is not to another. Just about anything could be found to be offensive to someone. This is a free country that promotes all types of religions, races, and views and I would not change it for anything. The government has no place in dictating what is and is not offensive. Rather, that is up to the individual to decide. If a majority of us consituents agree that something is objectionable and needs be stopped, then we can talk about legislation. However, I for one do not believe that congress represents a valid cross-section of the American people, and in dealing with first amendment rights will not neccesarily make legislation that agrees with a majority or plurality of Americans.
