well, not all the time, but like every 30 seconds win2k will acces the hd, and i have no clue why, even with every program shut, it still does it.
hes the scoop on my pc:
its a celry o/c'd to 541, with a bm6 mobo
the hd, is (my second hd i got for free, so dont laugh) a 13g bigfoot (slowest thing on earth), and 128 megs o ram

i was thinking about running win2k on my wd hd, because its faster, but i would like to get it to stop accesing the hd first

I have a similar problem as Win2K likes to keep my hard drive indicator light glowing constantly. I don't think it is accessing the drive all of the time, but the indicator light just stays on.

well, my bigfoot is so loud, i can hear it accesing for about 10 seconds every few seconds, VERY annoying when im trying to sleep LOL
i dont mind the 747 noise of the case fans, but that hd drone is annoying

try posting this in the Technical Support section, i think they will help you in this faster than in the general discussion. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Ceedee,

What the F*#* are you talking about? Obviously you dont know ()$* about OS's http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Win2K is great for those that use a OS that is NETWORK intensive!

ps. If you dont have anything to say that is constructive....Please keep it to your self!

Consider this another friendly warning: Do NOT post unless you have something constructive to add.

FYI: That means "helping", not tearing down.

Please, do not multiple post. It makes troubleshooting your problem ineffective with more than one thread to keep track of, and those replying will be frustrated.
