If this is for a business LAN,
I would not use anything but 3Com SuperStack II Hub 500 or Cisco Hubs.
I don't have much experience with the Cisco Hubs my company just started deploying them in all new conversions.
My location we used 3Com. I have had one hub crash in two years, out of 50+ hubs.
3Com replaced it in five days shipping time included, no charge.
Read the warranty policies of the hardware you buy.
The good hardware will have outstanding warranties.

You get what you pay for.
What is your DATA worth?

We are going to replace our 1 switch and 6 hubs. Not sure which brand to go with but thought maybe Allied Telesyn or 3Com.

Any thoughts

Thanks

I've had good luck with both CentreCOM and Linksys switches.
