3Com 905b won`t release IP address.It won`t renew either.I have RR and the cable modem works fine with my netgear card.Card worked for a while then started to act up,now nothing.Thanks in advance<J>

Well, I'm not sure if this is the problem or not, but I have heard of (and experienced) quite a few problems with 3com 3c905x cards. Mostly problems with plug & play, I'm not sure if that would be the problem with your setup or not. When I moved my network card (3c905c) to a different PCI slot (it was right next to the fan on my video card, and I wanted space for cooling), Windows wouldn't install it right until I'd tried four or five times. You might want to try removing the drivers and letting Windows redetect it a few times, but if that dosn't work then I'm not sure what it could be. Wait for somebody else to reply in that event, I guess.
