I'm looking for a 10-15 GB Harddrive that is under $105, speed no slower than 5400rpm.
I'm pretty close to getting this one right here: http://www.egghead.com/category/inv/00325019/02865507.htm
It looks great, great price. But, if you have any other suggestions I welcome them.
Also, tell me what you think of the HD listed at the link above!

I just bought a Western Digital Caviar 8.4GB 5400rpm ATA/66. The reason being it has a 2MB buffer. It works great and I'm very pleased. I get a great Sandra benchmark on this drive.
The software from their site made the cloning simple and painless. I don't have UDMA/66 so the software has to be used to shut off the 66 which is the default unless you have a 66 controller of course.
I bought it at onvia.com Canada for $135 Canadian $. That'd be about $90 US dollars I believe.

well, thanks shadow for providing that link to onvia...I decided to go for a 15GB Maxtor DiamondMax VL20---$99
FREE shipping---I went on impulse
This HD is to replace the 6.4GB WD that was in the system I had OC'ed so many times. It eventually gave me too many prob/s!
I'm going to take to a tech who will check it out for free, to see if I can salvage the 3GB worth of info. on it! Very important stuff too. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif
Thanks again Shadow, please no more recommendations.
Im startin on a new system, step-by-step, oh yeah!

jadison, does your old drive still work? If so you could use Drive Image Pro to copy it over to the new one. Actually you could use the DiamondMax software that will come with the new drive to copy it over with no problems.

Yep, free shipping is good.
Fine choice, the DiamondMax is a good one.
Good luck with the data saving from the old drive!
