Some friends and I want to start an LAN or some sort of network for our computers. We live at a max or about a mile to two miles apart, and there are four or five of us. I need help on info on how much it will cost, what kind of connection should I look for and is this possible. Thank you very much. Your help is apprechiated.

A mile or two apart? Hummmm, microwave or laser if clear line-of-site! If not Satellite would be the way to go! It cannot be done with cables unless you want to spend a fortune (the same with the options above) on repeaters!

Thats not a LAN anymore... its a WAN... Wide Area Network.
