Anyone know of a really good guilde to it. I'm sick of Qwests poor dns servers. I want one locally for multiple reasons.
I have 2 spare computers that are able to run Win2k advanced server if that another computer would be needed

You cannot be your own DNS server for the name resolution on the Internet if that is what you are trying to do. If you want to host your own web site, that's another thing. However, you would need to have a static IP and your ISP would have to be one of your DNS servers because there will already be another computer out on the Internet with the same IP address as you. They will just be part of other already subnetted IPs. If you want it for any other purpose, it would only be for your own edification, nothing more. If you just want to know, then I can tell you how. It's very simple in 2000. But have no illusion, you won't be able to resolve any other web addresses out there. That's just not how it works.

Part of it ws to learn how to setup DNS yes.
I will be hosting a website as well.
