Strange though is fact I'm not getting (at least initially) the results I'm used to; e.g., 600-1000 Kbps/70-110 K bytes/s. Now seems to stay in the 300-400 Kbps/40-50 K bytes/sec. Checked at intermittent times through the evening and morning--not much change and certainly didn't really swing like it used to in peak use. Wondering if it's my cable modem/ISP or the MSN ZDNet's rebuilt speed test.

Thanks...believe the test at: http://www.dslreports.com/stest is more accurate.

Actually... with the zdnet test, I'm getting FASTER.. MUCH faster rates. It could be the holiday weekend and most of my neighbors are gone.. but still.. I'm now seeing 2400 Kbps
(294.1 K bytes/sec) on my cable modem.

Last time I tried it, I typically got around half that. and technically, my service should only be 1500 Kbps down... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
