Socket-5 CPU in S-7 Mobo?

Some reason I seem to think I remember seeing an old pentium (socket-5) in a socket-7 motherboard. Does this work? Because I have an old S-7 mobo and a S-5 with PI 90mhz, and I'm trying to make a better MP3 player out of it.

Yeah, socket 5 chips will work in socket 7 boards without any problems. Socket 7 boards are completely backwards compatable with socket 5 chips.
