Just got thi idea in my head... a few minutes ago...

Would it be possible to run two cable modems at one connection?
I mean, could I use some kind of split for the connection mounted into my wall? And then use two modems... To get twice the speed...?

Would this be possible or am I dreaming too far now? I happend to have two cable modems... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Wouldn't you have to have two NICs? Also, doesn't the cable compnay want to know the MAC address of the modems and the NICs? How would you avoid paying for two accounts? It sounds interesting, but there are several issues to consider. If you try it, let us know how it works out.

You'd need a NIC and an account (yes, you need to pay for both modems) for each modem... and software to load balance/multiplex/distribute the two connections.
