Nathan 05-24-1999, 04:49 PM Hey Envy? Did you see I finally paid you off on that one thread lol? StarWatcher 05-25-1999, 12:29 AM I just changed my adapter refresh rate from default to 60Hz. My Intel i740-854 8MB video card supports up to 85Hz. But with my screen resolution set at 800x600 with a Vesa38k Display mode it seems my monitor will only suport 60Hz. Just wondering if this is right. And what is a default refresh rate and how does it compare to a setting of 60Hz? In other words, which setting is best? Thank you http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Nathan 05-25-1999, 12:45 AM Check out my site below for more info. Regardless, it's likely that your monitor does not support the resolution at that particular refresh rate. I looked :-) Nice site Nathan. Nathan, the info on your site tells me my monitor pretty much sucks. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif It offers 12 "factory preset modes" And only a few offer refresh rates over 70. Oh well, live and learn. Nathan 05-25-1999, 09:58 PM Well look at it this way, when you're ready to buy the new monitor, you'll know what to look for, won't you? ENVY 05-25-1999, 10:28 PM Yup Nathan, http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif got some gum. StarWatcher 05-28-1999, 08:07 AM Yup, Nathan I sure will http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif SysOpt.com
