Did you by chance check it out on Edmunds.com?
They can give you pretty close estimate on the blue book value.

noresull,
Congrats (early) on the house. Buying a home is a great feeling. When I first invited friends over, I kicked them out (for like three seconds) just so I could say...
Get out of MY house
BTW if you do sell it (the truck), keep good records. My mortgage company questioned every penny I used for my down payment. They also asked home many times a pay I scratch my nose, but I think the rep was just wierd.

How much did it cost? I would say about 2/3 of original value.
Sharp lookin truck by the way.

You could find the Kelly Blue Book value @ http://www.kbb.com
I am not sure of the options but this is what I came up with.
Retail $19,335
Trade in $14,635
Good luck with the house.

I've already checked for all the "book prices", Trade-in $15,215 Retail $21,360.
The retail is what a dealer could sell it for, and I know I could get more than trade-in if I sold it myself.
I was just asking to try and get a feel what I should ask for.
Thanks for all the responses, and keep 'em coming!
P.S. wyvrn-now if I told you how much I paid, where would the fun be? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

All I know is ask at least 10% more than your bottom selling price if you sell, cause most people will try to haggle down. Hehe well after you sell it, tell me how much you paid ok http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Hey wyrvn, for sure I'll let you know! I'm also asking a bit more than what I will actually sell it for. Now that I think of it I might try asking maybe $18,700, we'll see what happens then! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Don't let anyone suck you into anything lower than that. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Well, I've had an ad in the paper for a week now, and not even 1 call yet!
I guess if I don't sell it, I could always move out of my Apartment and live in it, huh!!
LOL http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Ok...you'll have better luck selling it for $15K. Not too many people will byte a 5 year old truck for close to $20K.
My friend was looking at them, saw mostly 1 to 3 year old explorers from $21K to $23K, he settled for a brand new explorer loaded with a v8 for $19K and some change...less than the asking price for used ones that were comparable.
I think someone is off their rockers with used explorer prices, or ford is trying to undercut their own used vehicles!

Well, the ad was in the paper for about a Month, and still not one call!
I ended up trading it in on a 2000 Ford Focus ZX3, check back in a couple of days for a picture! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
