Am i lucky, or what?

Road Runner is coming out soon here, and i have been selected as a "tester" for this service, so i will get 2 months free service and all that stuff, and i was wondering since there will be a max of like 10 people using it on my city, what downloading speed should i expect?

I was one of the first to get cable in my area and my d/l speed hasn't really changed since I got it. I usually d/l any where from 30.X kbs to 130.x kbs. It really depends on the site(s) you d/l from.

since your gonna be a "tester" and its just coming out there your speeds might be really nice but as soon as it becomes open to the rest of your community your upload and d/l will slow down a bit. plus they will cap your connection so other people will be able to get on and get equal bandwidth.

Also, being a tester, you may have to deal with alot of outtages and flaky network issues as they flush out all the bugs and kinks in the system. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
