Im running a simple 10baset lan in my apartment. so far theres only two comps on it, mine and my roommate's. he has the modem for dialup access to our isp. netbeui and tcp/ip are installed and bound on both machines. first time i installed connection sharing, it worked fine. windoze auto configured everything. he played around with something and i had to reinstall connection sharing. now it doesnt work. the icshare adapter keeps stealing the ip address assigned to the dialup adapter when it is connected to the isp. i even tried manually setting the ip addresses on both machines to 192.168.0.x. still no luck.
any help is greatly appreciated, as i have already spent 5+ hours trying to figure this out.

Hi

It is best to uninstall ICS completely and start fresh. Trying to configure over existing connections seems to cause problems.
Check out these sites in the meantime:

http://www.homepclan.com/

They were very helpful to me when I first started. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Good luck!

I had to remove everything from the network window on both pc's. Install the network then the ICS. Then reinstall the dial up adapter for my ISP/modem
