Network Scanner

I think you will find most scanner manufacturers either don't support networking or only support it in a server/client environment. In otherwords, no peer-to-peer. Send e-mail to your scanners tech support and ask them.

Now that i have my small peer to peer network isthere a way that i can give the other computer access to my scanner. the scanner is USB and is on my computer but i want to give the other computer access to it through my computer. becasue i dont want to have to buy another scanner.

is there a way i Can share this?

It actually depends on the scanner. Some HP's support networking (even with p2p). I have a 6200c w/USB. There was an additional setup program for the network, it installs easily and works great. The main computer (does not have to be a server or even the main pc on your net) acts as the admin pc. Once the install is done on each client, your ready to scan. Hope this helps...
