I have 2 high speed connections in one puter.Cable and Dsl,my question is, can i choose which program uses which?is there software for this ?im running WINME. Dsl is a static ip ,cable ,dynamic assigned -but is static(i aways get the same ip )so i want to say let my newsgrabber use dsl while i use cable for ftp, web, and such ...i dont know a way to change the binding order ,short of switching the connections on the back and reconfig the nics?
any help or ideas would be great

Yes there is a way to do this. But I am not sure the best way. One good way that I use here at work is through a firewall program. I can set rules for like smtp to go through one nic while the other one does everything else. Another way that is realitivly simple is set up proxies. And use them to get out onto the internet. and set each program to use the certain proxies that you specify.
Did this help? Am I close? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
