I have a server at my house running nt 4. I also have my friend vpn to me and he can connect and see my 3 comp lan but is very slow we both have adsl with an upload speed of 12kps and downstream of 80kps. It takes about 10 minutes for him to get to my machine and open one share and it will take another 10 mins to open another share is this normal I know 10kps is not much but it is better than 5.6k. Also If we try to play over ipx we won't see each other(this only happens if the computer i'm using is not the server for example my Winme client. He is connected with the following protocols TCP/Ip, IPX and NETBUI. What am I missing guys? Thanks!
