What do you do if you see an endangered species of animal eating an endangered plant species?

I know this is whay off topic, but its like those potato chips and guess the song posts. Anyway, this really clever person in my school asked me this question and I want to give him an answer that doesnt make me look stupid, so, any ideas? Thanks, Jack.

I don't know the answer, but the name Darwin keeps poping up in my head. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Follow the varmint around w/ a pooper scooper. Collect the seeds when he deposits them. Take them home plant them. Add water and nuturing.

To put my 2 cents in, here's what i have to say..."Don't do anything, this is simply an act of Mother Nature".
There, now I feel better

Thanks very much for your answers, they are all quite funny, but I'm not gonna prove him wrong about me being stupid, which he thinks I am by saying "kill them both". Anyway, Thanks very much for your replies, Jack.

I do not think you are stupid, nor maing you feel that way was mine intent...........it was just a joke.

I am a vegitarian, and I have a deep respect for nature and my natural surroundings......................so what would I really do?

I would do nothing at all,and just enjoy my sorroundings.

p.s.I was not trying to offend, sorry if that is how you percieved it.

No No No, dont take my reply wrong, I most certainly did not take offence. I thought it was quite funny actually. When I saw him in school today he said there was no answer to his question as it was a paradox, so he went on about any answer that I said was not wrong, but wasnt right either. So, I am still perceived by him to be a bit dim.

Anyway, thanks for all the replies, Jack.

Me thinks your friend has warped perceptions of himself..................

Ask him what his enlightening answer is?

All very funny replies. I'll ask him the nipple thing tomorrow but he'll probably say like "In the earliest part of our embryonic development, we all start out much the same".

Thanks for all of the replies guys.

BTW, this guy is really clever. He's going to Cambridge University next year, the UK's top university to do Astrophysics or something like that, so no matter how I try and outsmart him, he still bites back with an amazing answer. This post is completely off topic, its gonna be closed soon.

Anyway, Thanks.

haha you did the smart thing by asking other people.

why tax your own brain when you can use others? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

As the herbivore has no conception of "endangered" the only paradox is in the mind of man. The beast is amoral, therefore innocent.

Also, if you are watching an endangered animal eat an endangered plant, chances are you can't do anything, because it'll only happen in front of your eyes on National Geographic http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

Oh, and though Cambridge may get the best results, Oxford is still the first and best http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

"clean underwear"

I've seen you say this in another post somewhere discussing oxymorons... I didn't get it then or now. How is that an oxymoron? When you get dressed in the morning don't you put on "clean" underwear??
Also..."pretty woman"...???

What am I missing here?

I asked Jeeves about that nipple question and got this Nipples Answer (http://www.aj.com/main/metaAnswer.asp?MetaEngine=AltaVista&logQID=B258A78E0E26D4118AA0009027735367&qCategory=hlth&qSource=0&frames=yes&site_name=Jeeves&scope=web&r=x&MetaTopic =The+Straight+Dope%3A+Why+do+men+have+nipples%3F&MetaURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.straightdope.com%2Fclassi cs%2Fa1_093.html&EngineOrdinal=1&ItemOrdinal=4&ask=why+do+men+have+nipples+metase arch&origin=0&MetaList=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.straightdope.com%2Fclass ics%2Fa1_093.html&x=25&y=11) but it's still just a theory.
As for the Apostle83 thing i doubt even Jeeves could answer that. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

BTW - Oblivion is a vegitarian and plays UT so i think that explains his sudden violent outbursts. Thats a j/k Oblivian so no the friendly fire. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

EDIT - Not sure what's happened to the link but if ya can't cut and paste it just go and ask Jeeves.

Oblivion, our friends friend is one of the true few enlightened. He knows no answer to the paradox- paradoxes drain man's mind, for they are fruitless when it comes to answers, even after all man's intellect has been taxed.

But, he is free to expound on the nothingness that is the answer. We all like those people... "there is no answer, here is why....(15000 pages later...)."

I'd say just slap him with a good oximoron like "rap music," or "clean underwear," or "pretty woman...(nevermind, one just walked by...)"
