ftp help, please

I need to learn how to use basic ftp commands to access my university network from home (for passed exam papers/access my user space etc).

Anyone know of any good websites or software (I only need the basics & Iam using win2K).

what you need is an FTP client program such as LEAP FTP (www.leapware.com) or the more famous Cute ftp, these programs make connecting, browsing dirs, queing files for u/l and d/l easy as pie, they have an explorer type interface and you can simply drag and drop and right click and what not to access all functions, you can browse through a bunch of FTP programs at Tucows.com.
To get started just type in the address of your schools server and hit the 'connect' button, pretty easy.
