Rogers. No rebooting after that little time. Once inawhile cause my IP resets itself and takes me off line, but that's like every 4 days or so. Heh, is cable new in your area? When I first got it, I had TONS of problems! Tech support kept telling me they had "router" problems. Good luck to ya.

So your computer is locking up this many times each day? By how much do you exceed their system requirements? I have AT&T @Home service and their bare minimum is a P166 with 32 MB RAM. I leave my box on 24/7.
The cable modem itself pops in and out from time to time. It had more problems in the beginning because of a very high signal to noise ratio and a few other things that were solved with a new splitter on the line. BTW, what NIC did they put in your box? I know AT&T will provide some that have driver issues. Also don't let them install any software on your box; AT&T's is totally unnecessary and usually FUBARs Windows.
Any other information you can provide about your box would be most helpful.

mobo soyo 6vba133 mem 128 cpu celly 500 not oc. Doesn't lock up just can't find server. If I'm listening to the radio on line when I change threads on sysopt the radio kicks off line. Can't find server.when I can't go from 1 thread or forum to another by rebooting ,unpluging the modem or releasing all and renew all it will work for a while. maby 10 minutes maby 10 hours. replaced the nic and modem took a splitter off the wall and went straight through . This has been since 19 June. Still no joy barry

Right now I have two print outs of 0 down and less than 200 up. If I had the money I would file an injunction to stop them from advertising 24/7. Bet that would get their atention. barry

before you start singing DSL cyclone2 consider that we had Bell Atlantic and just switched to Road Runner cable, our DSL had a dead spot, every few minutes you would lose connectivity and you just had to wait for it to come back, 'router problems' was all the CO had to say about it, went on for months, our cable dl rate at least 2x the DSL and the DSL up was capped at a stinkin 90kbs, Road Runner is about 350, and no we have never had this problem that is being discussed, knock, knock . .
I have been on cable for well over a year now and have only 1 problem. And it was the cable from my house to the central box. Once that was replaced no problems. Have never rebooted the modem and pretty much leave my pc on all the time.
