I'm getting ADSL from BellSouth in October and I just have a couple of questions for you folks, please(BS really isn't giving me that much info right now, typical BS.).
First which would be better a USB External Modem or a PCI internal modem. I'm currently running only one USB device right now and that really isn't too often. In other words which would give me an overall performance boost if any on say CPU load or even download rates if that would effect download speeds at all. I'm really new to ADSL so any and all info would be greatly appreciated, even if it doesn't have to do with this particular question as long as it concerns ADSL.
Thanx all.

For one comp...

USB is great if you plan on only running windows

PCI internal if you want to run other OS's that do not support usb.

For many comps...

See if you can get a non-usb external (requires a NIC), but you can use other devices to share this connection with multiple users. You can share with the PCI internal, but it appears that an non-sub external makes this job much easier.

Congrats on geeting a responce from BS. They throw up their hands and shrug their shoulders when I ask them about xDSL in my area.
