Hello!

Is an external USB modem faster than an external Serial modem? Not in baud rate but on internal transfers from the modem to the computer system which the modem is installed on?

If one is faster than the other, do you know why? Is it because the circitry is "shorter" between certain connections on the motherboard for either the USB or Serial connections?

Thanks for your help!

Theoretically, USB is supposed to be internally faster because it communicates with a faster BUS than the serial ports. This is the little bit I remember.
