Thats some wacky stuff but I wouldn't be hammering on a crt any time soon. They can go off like a bomb...they can implode due to the huge amount of vacuum pressure they are under. Best to stand back a 100 yards or so and shoot em!

What's really neat with a CRT is to take a propane torch to it and gradually watch it implode. I am not going to disclaim this b/c if you try this you subject yourself to the realm of natural selection.
