Why does winpopup.exe take so long to send a message?

Well it's not that it takes so long to send it. When i send a message the recipiant recieves it imediately but my computer takes a long time to come up with that window that says "Your message has been sent". Anyone have an answer? Or does anyone have a sugjestion on some freeware or shareware for LAN(Home network) chat?

Ahh ICQ? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif I personally have never even bothered to play with Winpopup for the shear fact of the slowness that it has...Never bothered to do research on it
