Hey guys,

I've been installing my little lan at home, but it keeps asking for vserver.vxd.

It isn't on my win98SE cdrom and not on my hdd's, and not on the driver disk.

Please help, cause my lan won't work

Thanks.

Pim

what are you doing/installing when its asking for that file?

Well,

I'm installing the options available for network.
When I install the option file and printer sharing, it asks for the win98se cdrom and finds some of the files.
But it can't find vserver.vxd

I formatted last night cause there was a lot of junk on there anyway, also in the registry.
So, I'm doing a clean install this afternoon, and I should be okay.

Any hints.

Pim

every once in a while I have found that Win98 asks for its disk, I put it in and click OK, it says cant find x-file. Did that many times with my MX300 sound card, so I get discusted click ignore file (luckily just wave files and card worked fine)
When this happened again with something else important I found that windows was checking E:\Win98, so I type in e:\win98 in lower case and it worked! found the files- go figure. After a format last week I installed sound card and it did it again so I type in e:\win98 and for the first time ever I get those wave files installed for the sound card, couldn't believe it.
