Hey guys,

My question is very easy.

I have a 100Mbit 8 port hub, and at the moment 4 pc's, but 2 will follow shortly.

They all have 100Mbit nic cards, but can I build such a network under win98SE, or do I need windows NT???

Please help me on this one, cause I really need to get it started.

Thanks in advance.

Pim

Any version of win 9x will network like a charm when properly setup. A "general" rule of thumb is peer to peer will work with up to 10 pc's. After ten, haveing a dedicated server is recommended. It also depends on what your doing with the network..etc...

Thanks guys,

I'm gonna print the guides and make very good use of them.

I just can't wait what my rc5 cracking score is gonna be when I put all 5 of the little suckers on the lan.

An athlon 650
amd-k6-2 450@518(4.5x115)
Celeron 400, yet to o/c, 2 times
A cyrix pr366

Maybe I'll put the 2 486's on it too, just for fun, hehehehe
