I'm having problems getting my network to share 1 modem. The pc with the connection has Win98SE but the second pc has Win98. I don't see any networking stuff in add/remove. The disk that was produced from ics setup on Win98SE is useless so far. I've looked at a few different sites but no definitive info on what I need to do. Should I just dump ICS and try a 3rd party or is there a solution??
Thanks for any help http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

RampageIII,
You need to have your local network up and running using TCP/IP protocol before installing ICS.
You will need to go to your Add/Remove Programs on your server and remove ICS then reboot.
Get your network setup and running using TCP/IP.
Then, only when your local network is working fine, Re-Install ICS on the server, then use the floppy you create while installing ICS on the server to set up the client.
The following site was a great help when I setup ICS.
http://www.timhiggins.com/ppd/ics_troubleshoot.htm

As for setting up a home network, if I may quote Mntsnow, "You might want to visit http://www.helmig.com/ and http://www.homepclan.com/ "

Best of luck,
