sharing files

HI,
I've 2 computers in peer to peer setup. I have files and printer shared. Is there an easier way to copy a file from one to the other computer? The way I do it, is to have both computers on, open Network Neighborhood, and show both areas on each computer. Then I drag and drop. It seems like too much trouble to just drag and drop a file. There must be an easier way, unbeknownst to me. Someone recommended to "SendTO", and I tried it without success. Of course, I may of set it up wrong with shortcuts an all. If this is the way to go, could someone tell me how to really set it up? I like the idea that all I need to do is open a file and Send it to the other computer.

If you want to use the Send To method, follow these instructions:

1. Open the Windows Explorer
2. Navigate to C:\WINDOWS (or your windows directory)
3. Open the folder SENDTO
4. Right Click and select New & Shortcut
5. Type the name of the computer you are trying to access and its share (eg. \\server\c
6. Click OK and when you want to send files, just right click them and it will appear as a send to command.

Another way would be to map the shares to a network drive. Lets say you are sharing the C: drive on one machine (lets call it SERVER)and called it HDD. On another machine (WORK)you need to access HDD. First share the C: drive on the SERVER machine as HDD, then on the WORK machine go into the network neighborhood, find the computer and the share HDD. Right click and select 'Map Network Drive'. You can now use that share as it if it was a drive on your machine by simply using the letter you map it to.

Here are the steps.
1. Within "Network Neighboorhood", Double Click on the comp you want to use.
2. Select the folder you want to use
3. Right Click and select "Map as Network Drive"
or
3. Click on the "Map Network Drive" Button
(Looks like a little box with a blue star on the corner)
4. Select the Drive letter you would like
5. Verify that the "Reconnect at Logon" is checked
6. Select okay
7. Double click on "My Computer"
8. Select the new drive
9. Right Click and select "Create Shortcut"
10. Windows will ask if it can place it on the desktop CLICK "OK"
11. Click Start
12. Select Find
13. Select Files or Folders
14. Search for SendTo
15. Double Click on the folder
16. Drap the new shortcut into this folder

To Use...
1. Select File or group of files
2. Right Click
3. Select Sendto
4. Select "Shortcut to ________"
5. Enjoy

HINT to pratice that you have the process without messing with Network Neighborhood, try to set up a shortcut to your Recycle Bin like I mentioned in the above link.
