I currently networked a 200MMX with a P166 using a crossover cable. I cant get the 10/100 card to work over 10MB. But I don't care, sometime I will just breakdown and buy a hub anyways so I assume it will work then, my cable is 50ft long and probably has some problems associated with that. Anyways, the 10MB/s is fine for my use with files and games, however I noticed that Diablo particularily keeps booting me out whenever the P200 player gets into an area with a lot of monsters. I can't even join in if he is in a room with a bunch of them. This is almost like a RAM problem although it has 64MB sdram in it and the 166 has 32MB. Age of Empires works fine on it so I was wondering if changing any of the IPX protocol settings is recommended. Like the Network address, force data packets, etc. Or what do I do? Go buy more ram? a hub? HELP. This old game shouldn't be a problem.

sounds like ram to me too !
because if it's doing it when you get alot
of things going at once, it seems to overtake it.
under network properties
IPX/SPX properties
you can always try to set default IPX/SPX
pick Ethernet 802.3 for both under frame types
make sure under network address they are the
same (like 10)
enable NetBois
try that and see if it works better

Ok thanks, I'll try some of that out and see how it goes.
