Special effects in Gladiator movie

I thought it was a awesome movie, some of the fight scenes were amazing. They constructed part of the coliseum as a set and computer enhanced the rest, special effect are great, best movie I seen since matrix!

*drool* I can't wait till this is released next week in the UK. The trailer looks awesome, and it has had good reviews, unusual for a summer season blockbuster...

U-96, the cnn review said the director wasn't very critical about being historically accurate and just wanted to make a good movie. It was decent... I won't go into details and spoil it.
