this is a big thing every year on the island. alone with the tennis http://www.blchamps.com/index_frames.html. these make or break the island. the whole island comes to a full stop to serve the people that come to it. it is one big party and it is worth all the trouble we the island people put in to it. http://www.shrimpfestival.com
and while I'm here. I might as well give you a tour of where I live. I wouldn't trade it for anything. http://www.amelia-island.net/scenes.htm http://www.thedelpgroup.com/historyfb.htm http://www.ameliaisland.com/facts.htm http://www.ameliaislandflorida.com/

I will be coming to your fine state sometime this summer, after I get out of school. We plan on going to Destin/Ft. Waltin beach area.
Is the water clear there? We plan on doing some snokeling/scuba diving and some sight seeing. Does your town have the shrimp festival every year? If they do,I wanna go cause that's about me favorite food. Yum...
By the looks of it, very cool place you live in,went to the islands home page and checked it out. Mp

indulge you mean. and since I don't touch anything with alcohol in it. I got alot of room to expand. and all the shrimp is caught off the island ect. and they say there should be about 175/185 thousand this year.
so there will be alot of everything. but, I have to work on weekends. and the only change is. it gets bigger and bigger each year.

only if we saw your smileing face. he he
and yes it is a beautyfull place. everyone knows everyone. and are one big happy family.
it is better in real life. he he
there is so much to see and do. and it is covered in money. but, you would never know that. people act like they are all the same, no matter where you go. something you don't find anymore.
but, the best part is there is only two ways on/off the island. unless you have a helicopter, boat, airplane. and than they got you in a few. so the crime is very low here. and houses are from 125 thousand up into the millions. there are a lot of very famous people that live on the island. and you will see them out like everyone else.
and they are very strick on any kind of improvements ect. and they don't mind telling you this either. they will flat say. we don't need or want you kind or your money.
God, I love my home. and thanks for the kind words. and nothing beats a night walk on the beach or a stroll tho the city streets at night ect.

Gene.....that looks like a great place to live, and a heck of a party. Next year, can you give us a little more notice?? <lol>. If I read the web site right, the festival was like 4-5 days after you posted the message. Some of us have to schedule vacation time and plane tickets to make it down your way <lmao>.

You lucky dog Gene, closest I'll get will be shrimp at the dead lobster here in town, ahh well, thats life
Gene, that is one idyllic place you have there...
even better than a Ploughman's lunch in the garden of an Oxfordshire pub on a sunny Sunday afternoon - but not by much http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
