Medo http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif wyvrn 04-13-2000, 09:09 AM You will need NT server on one machine running as a PDC. Then your other will need to authenticate to the PDC every time you login. Kind of a pain unless you are planning on doing this for a living. jpeppers 04-13-2000, 05:36 PM I decided to go with a workgroup, but I can't NT Server and Win98 to recognize each other. I went to Homepclan, and bascially did everything they told me to, but to no avail. I have a 5 port hub one cat 5 and one crossover cat 5. Does anyone what can be the problem? Using TCP/IP protocols. wyvrn 04-14-2000, 08:30 AM Go to the drive you want to share on WinNT, right click on it and choose sharing (admin to do this). Here you can specify the name to be shared as, how many simultaneous logons, etc. etc. [This message has been edited by wyvrn (edited 04-14-2000).] SirSlime 04-16-2000, 09:12 PM Jpeppers, please don't tell me you have the crossover going from the hub to your PC! That does'nt work, you need a plain CAT-5 patch cable. jpeppers 04-16-2000, 09:21 PM I'm afraid so... I new at this and trying to teach myself about networking, so bascially it was trial and error. I can see from you response that isn't going to work. Any suggestions? SysOpt.com
