Everything works fine on my new network exept one thing. When i print from a computer on the network it starts printing just fine exept the printer messes up and makes a few lines blurry (like double image) and when i send the file to my server and print it from the server it prints ok. What could be causing this?? Interference from tv or radio????????? Please respond as soon as possible.

thanks

Have you double checked your printer drivers. What OS is each machine running?

Hey guess what i checked out my drivers and they were there and everything. Before i even checked this post again i had reloaded the drivers to both the network server then of course got the drivers for the client computer from the server and now everything works great now! But over all i guess it just needed a driver reload. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif Thanks man!

at least i know that no matter the problem someone on this board knows about it http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Nevermind guys i still have the same problem. I reinstalled the drivers. I even tried an updated one from the epson website. Oh yeah my printer is a Epson Stylus color 400. If anyone could help me i would really appriciate it. Could it be my network settings???? My TCP/IP settings??? I have no idea what's wrong. The weird thing is that when i print from the server(were the printer is set up as a local printer) then everything prints great! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif I've tried everything i could think of to try to get this thing working like i want it to.

This is what it looks like but i don't know why the pic is pink shaded. but i think now you get how it looks like.
What might be causing this(the "scratchy line"across the page)

Is there nobody that knows how to fix this problem??? It gets me worried that i would have to live with this for the rest of my life. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif But for now i'm just transferring the files i need printed to the server and printing them up on there and like i think i already said it prints like normal on the server. It just messes up while printing off of the client computer. I think it could be just the drivers or something. It's a pretty old printer. As you guys already know itz a Epson Stylus Color 400. I think the drivers might be outdated and might be contributing to the problem. Help! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I can't live like this http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Are the client computers Win98 or NT machines. If they are win98, you have to load those drivers in addition to the server OS drivers for download, so that when a win98 (or whatever client OS you are using) client logs on, they will automatically get them. Beyond that, I would check all of the printer properties for the computers where the output is messed up.

What kind of network cable are you using? How long is it? Does it run outside at all?
Is it coiled up somewhere? Alot of times if it is coiled up the data running over itself will do that.

Well both computers have are running Win98se and i have two 25 foot cat.5 cables. And i think there is one part where itz a little coiled up under my bed. My bed is metal http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Could that be what's messing in up????
