I've got a small network at home connected in serial. My big system has a wingate on it to allow the other systems online. I've got linux setup on one of the boxes. I can't seem to get win95 and linux to see each other over the network. Please help I want to make the wingate a gateway for my linux.

Can't see each other? Do you mean you cannot ping?

Are you trying to see them in network neighborhood?

You can not. UNIX/LINIX do not transmit netbios names. Thus your computer browsing service cannot get a netbios name from your unix machines. Can you ping them? If you can then you have a connection to them. If not then there are many things that could be the problem but for now try these.
