I just set this up on my home network and it was easy as pie. W2K Pro as server. No problems whatsoever and all I had to do was set clients to get info from dhcp server. Online gaming, autodial, telnet, ftp, web and everything else works. I am impressed with this.

Say, did you have any problems with Windows 98 communicating? I've tried twice to convert my NT 4.0 server to 2000, with no luck. All hardware was compatible and everything looked great, but when connecting from a Win98, it couldn't find the server, or once it did, it was very slow. I know all protocols were correct. It seems that Win2K is more sensitive to the network. Is that possible?

That could be possible. The first install of w2k I did it had the video card and network card sharing the same irq. There were random crashes and network was super slow. I got them on their own irq's now and it is super fast. Using a el cheapo netgear nic in w2k box, and built in nic on compaq w98 box.

Natedog, Also make sure you have Enabled the "guest" account in the services. Without the "guest" account enabled you will not beable to connect to the Win2K/NT with out logging into the win98 box as a admin or someother account that has been setup as a trusted account on the win2K box.
